Elk & Bison Safari in Knyszyn Forest

ELK & BISON SAFARI

from November to March

A morning safari to the eastern part of Knyszyn Forest in search of Elk (Moose) & European Bison.

The trip lasts ca. 3-4 hours and starts before dawn. Own transport is required (if not available, this can be arranged). The trip usually consists of driving in search of animals through the fields & meadows at the edge of Knyszyn Forest near Polish-Belarusian border. In the area sometimes you can even see those mammals together, side by side!

The starting point can be determined anywhere in Białystok city from where we continue by car towards Krynki town (ca. 40 mins driving). The trip can be organised only from late autumn to early spring (November to March). Other than this Bisons & Elks return to the woodlands and become less viewable.

Other species possible on such a trip: Roe Deer, Red Fox, occasionaly Wild Boar, Red Deer or Wolf.

Price and number of participants

Price is 1000 PLN for the trip per group.

Number of participants: no limit (or from 1 to 4 when vehicle has to be provided).
